Difficult air conditioning regulation
Staff were helpful. Hotel is situated on a generally quiet street/area.
close to railways e.g. city centre
never renovated, not a 4*
rooms were very noisy and with no internet connection, which was only in the entrance hall
Comfortable bed, cozy room, friendly staff, great breakfast included, free Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi could only be accessed in the lobby!
Although repetitive, the breakfast was quite good. The staff were quite helpful, especially Donna, who spoke good English and tried to sort out a problem with my AC.
The air conditioning was almost non existent. I complained during all my days of stay and the reception staff did their best, no technicians came and nothing was ever done to fix it. With the temperatures in Rome being above 30 degrees, it was difficult to sleep at night. I realized other guests also had the same problem!
-La colazione è buona
-Staff impreparato. Ci danno disponibilità del taxi per fiumicino a tariffa fissa in mattinata e nel pomeriggio al momento di chiamarlo ci dicono che va prenotato almeno un giorno prima.
The location of the Hotel Regent was well suited for our purposes, as we were there primarily for the tennis tounament and transportation to the Foro Olympico was convenient. As was transportation to other points since the Metro station is litterally steps from the lobby. But if you are into luxury and the hustle and bustle of the city, the Regent is not for you, Our maid, Mayon was sweet.
The rooms were last decorated and modernized during the first Italian Renaissance.
The only thing I ilked during my stay is the area in which the Hotel is located.
First of all, I was a delegate at the eaa2011 congress (paper presenter and chair). I booked with my wife a double room at Regent Hotel from 19 April to 24 April 2011. When we entered the Hotel, we were disappointed with the huge difference betwwen reality and the pictures displayed on Booked.net. The rooms were very small. There service was a very bad . We arrived at 13.00 P.M. We were asked by the recepcionist to take out for a walk for one hour because the room was not yet free (although it has been mentioned by the Hotel that check out should be before 11.00). When we returned, we had to wait for another 30 minutes. There was a horrible noise when opening the tab. The repairman came after three days and told us that he will change the tab tomorrow but nohing was done. Drops of water were falling from the roof!!! (After using the water closet). We have travelled in many countries all over the world and we really wonder if Regent Hotel deserves four stars? In other countries this Hotel should not have more than three or two stars. Moreover, Regent Hotel received the total amount 550 Euros in advance since February 15th (Visa Card). I used Booked.net for other Hotels in other countries but I was never charged the total amount a couple of months in advance .
Very nice hotel with really nice and comfortable rooms. Perfect room service and cleaning policy. Very good breakfast with many choices.
We had a little problem with some receptionists. Some didn't speak english fluently.
Too noise, not looks alike a 4 star hotel, more like 3 stars hotel
Its location. Access to wi-fi - which you paid extra for. Breakfast was OK Staff were helpful.Clean towels. Hot water.
This hotel needs a make-over. It is the `overflow` hotel for thr Grand Ritz Hotel -efffectively 2 hotels in one. The Ritz looked great. The further you moved into the Regent, the more tired it looked. It needs new decor, new carpets. It s a 3* at best...
The hotel's staff was more than adequate in serving our needs. The breakfast room was spacious with excellent service. The rooms were clean, and everything needed was there. The hotel;s district is quite, apart from the centre's fuss. Transport to the center was very easy with the metro (with a stop about 200 m from the hotel).
There were too many school groups and it was quite noisy. The rooms we had weren;t as spacious as described and the plumbing in the bathrooms needs a bit of attention. The elevators aren;t enough and they are too slow.
problem with the key of the room,we told about it to the reception and they did not fix it from the first day till the last day/they did not inform us about the use of tv,so they asked me to pay 11 euro for 2 minutes of watching
the price of the last-minute offer
the typical 4-star hotel for groups that you can find in all italian tourist towns : looks like a 2-star, but with 24-hour reception
